My Boys are growing!! last check up Joshua weighed 12lbs 2 oz and joseph 11. 2.. Joshua was the smaller one at birth now passed him by a whole pound.. and I am very proud of them! after having a couple of rough weeks where we got very little sleep they are sleeping all night, 9 to 5 sometimes till 6!! that is a hallelujah moment for me..I feed them and they go back to bed till about 9, which allows me to have a relaxing morning with my children before they head off to school, I'm back to taking the kids everyday since Stephen lee and Ruthie moved but it was a blessing while we had it.. a neighbor girl comes over to stay with the boys so I don't have to pack them up every day..
My favorite part of the day right now is when the kiddos are in bed the lights are all out except the soft glow coming from the nursery where hubby and I are doing the last feeding, we talk about our day, how life is flying by and we have so much going.. so many demands, are we really embraceing the moment I know I talked about this before but I really do not want to miss it with my children and yet it seems almost impossible with the demands of two little ones..thanks to my friend Katy who calls and says I want your girls for the day, I am enjoying crossing some things off my list:)
We decided that staying at home right now works the best.. going away evenings is almost not an option.. till we get back home, boys fed and settled and meeting the rest of the childrens needs it can be 11 till we ever get to bed, and with sam leaving for work at 5:15 and me baking 2 days a week we need our sleep..
love these guys to pieces.. and no they do not look alike AT ALL... even there personalities are very different..
these two are two peas in a pod.... I mean literally, they play and play..
This is how the girls fall asleep each evening..holding hands..and yes big bear must be with them every night..
Happy Birthday to my little man..we started a tradition each year they get to go on a date with mom and dad, they chose where we eat and where they want to get their gift and then a fun activity.. Tyler picked mcdonalds to eat, Goods store for his gift and then he wanted to play ball at a park.. cant believe my little man no longer goes to the toy section but rather goes for a bat bag, batting gloves ect....
Love watching my childrens personalitys come to life as they grow, Tyler is def. the king type like my dad, he loves to be served and everything has to be on schedule, we don't rush things :) he will get dressed when hes ready to get dressed, I know by now I need to wake him at the same time each morning so that he can do his routine schedule.. one morning in particular I overslept, we had 30 min to get everyone dressed and out the door.. so I explain to them as soon as I woke them that I overslept and I need there help.. Brianna kicks in and says "what can I do for you mom" and Tyler is freaking out that he cant lounge on the couch and worrying that we are going to be late..lol
I love how he cares for people, and is very sensitive to any hurting animal, he is intrigued with wildlife, safari animals.and the outer space...he knows every kind of vehicle, like going down the road he'll say mom that's a ford, or look mom that's a Toyota..I mean really child what happen to playing farm with tractors:) ask him how old any one is on both sides of the family and he will know..His favorite pastime is playing baseball and hanging out with his favorite uncle allen..
we love you Ty..
So about a two years ago we started to get serious about eating healthier, knowing if you want it to be a life style it wont happen overnight and you need to change slowly, so my goal was to cut or change something in our diet every month like taking creamer out of coffee or eating dark choc. instead of milk choc.. small steps but it worked.. now we are taking it to a whole new level with eating Trim healthy momma style, I know its pretty popular right now.. we are enjoying it so far but it can be a little overwhelming, trying to take one day at a time and not think we have to be on plan all the time right away but change slowly.. so far we liked all the recipes I tried (kids included) they love the panckaes made with egg whites, cottage cheese and oatmeal.. also love the brownies made with black beans.. so here I am back to my meal schedule after of 12 weeks of meals coming!! Thanks to everyone !!we have been showered with so much ..meals, gifts, pampers, its humbling..
dog woods getting ready to open...
this weekend we head out to the haft..to say we are excited is an understatement...although I am a bit nervous since its the first overnight stay with the twins..
then next weekend is gospel express weekend so we will be very busy the next two weeks...
hope you all have a great week..blessings..
